Once upon a time, a young person was ready to sign up to do many things with someone, exceptt falling in love. We have all been there Zara, we don’t judge you. Although these things can be outgrown, it is always a good food for thought. The fun, the excitement, the anticipation—they are all tied up in ‘Talk About Love’ and we commend Zara Larsson and Young Thug for this serve. A serve for all millennials and Gen Z babies who are all for the fun and games but don’t want to get hurt. Don’t come for us, we don’t make the rules.
What can we say? The song slaps HARD. The production is a pop masterpiece. You can even hear the rich trap music influences in the song. The instruments used in the track is very well-mixed with the vocals of the two artists in the track. Their ad libs in the song felt like necessary because of the production. And we cannot deny, both artists have flavor and texture in their voice.
Let’s talk about how Zara Larsson’s voice never fails to prove us she was destined to make this type of music. It’s always disappointing for us when artists with great potential and talent are underrated. Zara’s vocals alone makes her deserving of world-renown and acclaim. She has the 21st century billion-dollar voice and although there are people who argue that her voice is common nowadays, we believe that her voice is very unique.
Young Thugs’s verse in this track is whole vibe. His verse is an example of where good production can make a typical verse pop out and shine. It’s like we’ve heard the verse a million times before but in this track particularly, Young Thug’s is special. The timing is right, the vocal effects are right, the ad libs are right.
When you want to make a song about wanting to be with someone and having a sexual relationship with them that doesn’t get further, ask Zara Larsson for tips because that girl can write. Her lyricism is a testament to her artistry because the melody rhymed with the lyrics—if that makes sense to you. Many artists have good lyrics but mediocre melody and vice-versa. Our girl has good melody and lyrics at the same time.
This track would be in our playlist for a while, that’s a fact. If we could give you an advise, do the same. This song is perfect!
